IAPMO 81st Annual Education & Business Conference

SEPTEMBER 26 – 30, 2010          SHERATON SEATTLE HOTEL

This year IAPMO comes to Seattle.  The annual event kicks-off with a golf tournament on September 26th, so, golfers bring your clubs.  Speakers will offer presentations on a range of subjects (see the brochure for complete details), and non-technical events are scheduled for spouses and companions. 

For those of you who are not into golf, Downtown Harley-Davidson in Renton will have motorcycles available for a one day Biker-fest.  Information will be posted as it becomes available.  For their web page, click here

MAY MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

The Chapter's next scheduled meeting will take place on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Simpson Strong-Tie Kent Center, 22035 West Valley Highway, Kent (253-372-5000).  The meeting begins at 6:30 pm, with socializing starting at 6:00 pm.

 

This months topic will be “Election of Officers and the training will be an update on Simpson Products presented by Mr. Kevin Bourn, Territorial Representative, Simpson Strong-Tie.  The cost is $2.00 (cash or check), which includes the dinner, raffle and your training CEU's.  Please RSVP as soon as possible to help us arrange for adequate seating at the restaurant.  Hope to see you there!

Please help to reduce unnecessary cost for chapter meetings. For those who RSVP but later find they cannot attend please let us know ASAP or no later than 11 AM the Monday prior to the meeting. Otherwise the unnecessary cost of those meals negatively impacts the chapter budget. Be advised when you RSVP, unless other arrangements are made, you - in effect - are committing to the cost of the dinner as well.

From I-5 take exit 152 ( Orillia Road ) and go east into the Kent valley.  Turn right on to 68th ( West Valley Highway ), turn right at “Kent Centre” Industrial Park (blue sign).  Simpson is located in building #3.
