Marc Schoenberg- reports that the next meeting will be held at the brand-new Simpson plant in Kent. Apparently Branks will be catering the event. The meeting will start early at 4:00. |

There was a reminder and further discussion on the Chapter picnic on August 3rd. It will be combined event with IAPMO out at Snoqualmie River RV Park and Campground in Preston / Fall City |

Chase Bank Checking Account has a balance of $719.55
Chase Bank Savings Account is now at $10,567.70 and earned interest of $0.84.
Executive VP - Gary brought up the following:

Code Hearings in Dallas. |

There is a proposal at WABO to have people who vote on matter to have some kind of expertise in the matter (such as a certification) in which they are voting on. |

ICC is looking into allowing remote voting, but Gary said that that is probably a few years out. |

Gary indicated that the codes are being bloated by over zealous code officials and manufacturers. He called for the members to endeavor to keep the Codes lean and to “put the codes on a diet” so that they remain a reasonable size. |

There is a bill in Olympia to increase the code cycle to 6 years but apparently that died in committee. |
New Business:

M/S/P - There was a motion to fund a dunk tank for August's picnic which promptly was modified to add a $250.00 cap on the funding. The motion passed 8 to 3. Picnic is at Snoqualmie River Campground at Fall's City on Saturday, August 3rd. Bring the kid's, bring the grand kids. Lots of fun, door prizes, games for kids, prizes. |

Marc asked to confirm that it is still the policy that a Chapter quorum has been dropped to 12, Mike confirmed that that is true. |

The members were reminded that a Good /Bad wall is available to display at local jurisdictions in the area. |

M/S/P - A motion was put forward to suspend the rule of bylaw under Article 5, Sec 5.1.2 Term, which limits officer terms to one year. |

The nominations of officer proceeded to no fanfare with the following results:
o Treasurer- Richard Burke was again nominated with no other contender stepping forward.
o Secretary- Michael Lee was again nominated with no other contender stepping forward.
o Vice-President- Marc Schoenberg was again nominated with no other contender stepping
forward.
o Executive Vice-President- was left vacant to be filled as needed.
o President- Mike Noot was again nominated with no other contender stepping forward. |
